Freeport-McMoRan, a premier natural resource company, operates large, long-lived, diverse assets of copper, gold, molybdenum, cobalt, oil and gas in the western United States of America. A large immigrant and Spanish-speaking community lives in the region around the company's mineral and gas production facilities. With headquarters in Phoenix, Arizona, Freeport-McMoRan has engaged partner organizations across the United States to offer the Spanish-language version of DreamBuilder to small business owners and aspirational entrepreneurs. An English-language version of DreamBuilder was launched this year to serve wider group of entrepreneurs in North America.



After learning about the facilitated DreamBuilder Spanish-language class at the Mi Casa Resource Center’s Women’s Business Center in Denver, Colorado, Julia Gallegos, enrolled in the class and graduated with a completed business plan. The plan has helped her expand her initial menu. According to Julia, “Thanks to the DreamBuilder class, I completed my business plan and received a $1,800 loan from Mi Casa’s micro-lending program. Susan Snyder took DreamBuilder last year through a facilitated course offered by Eastern Arizona College’s Small Business Development Center. "The program really rekindled my love for entrepreneurship and reminded me why I got into business in the first place. I revisited my business plan and thought about marketing in a different way. I have even contracted with a millennial marketer to reach new customers because of what I learned in the class. Carmen Bolivar participated in a DreamBuilder course offered by WESST’s Women’s Business Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
